Dear Seneca East Families,
The Seneca East School District is committed to our student's safety and education. Essential to this commitment is transparency with families regarding safety concerns. To be as transparent as possible, we feel it necessary to inform you of an incident that occurred today, January 12, 2022, at Seneca East. A student expressed violent tendencies, which were reported to the administration by fellow students. The school administration launched an investigation and involved the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department. At no time today was there any immediate danger to any student or staff member. The procedures we have in place allowed us to handle the situation. Please know that all threats or statements of violence are taken seriously. We want you to have the facts. We appreciate your continued trust as we educate and care for your children.
