The safety and well-being of our staff and students are our top priority. We have several tools in place to help ensure we are providing a safe and engaging learning environment for our students each day.

These include:

  • STOPit - This is an anonymous reporting app available on each student’s Chromebook. Families and students can also download the app to their smartphones or access it from our website, se-tigers.com. STOPit allows students to reach out for help if they or a peer are facing a personal crisis, are experiencing bullying or abuse, or are otherwise in need of assistance.

All reports are investigated thoroughly. Additionally, we offer mental health services to students and work to create a positive culture and climate of belonging for every student through a variety of clubs and activities. For example, Kindness Club focuses on performing good deeds and building on the positive. These types of opportunities are shown to decrease safety incidents.

Bullying and other safety concerns are on the rise in schools across the nation. We appreciate our community’s partnership in setting expectations with students and reporting issues when necessary so that we can continue focusing on what matters most here at Seneca East - educating our students.
