Tony Thompson

High energy and contagious enthusiasm were alive and well in Tiger Gymnasium this past Thursday as Seneca East welcomed nationally-renowned speaker, Mr. Tony Thompson, for a middle and high school assembly exploring how to find, cultivate, and share the passion that is within.  The message was a strong one of personal hard times relating to the struggles we are all facing in society and how to overcome and fight through while discovering the inner passion that leads to a healthy and happy life.  Tony Thompson has spoken to tens of thousands of individuals across the U.S., which includes high schools, colleges, Fortune 500 companies, and non-profit organizations.  As an enthusiastic speaker, he has partnered with banks, corporations, schools, and businesses with the intent of providing tools that are needed to improve the lives of the people who have the pleasure of hearing his message.

Tony, after the assembly was over, was gracious enough to spend another hour with SE's high school student government and student council members as their keynote speaker talking with them about leadership and about what it means to leave something behind for the betterment of others.

We are very grateful, too, for Mrs. Mindy Strup-Kummerer from the Seneca County Jobs and Family Services organization, for assisting us in obtaining a grant so that we could host Tony for our students.
