Seneca East Schools is excited yet saddened to announce that seven longtime staff members are retiring at the end of this school year. This year’s retirees include:

  • Laura Brickner, treasurer - 24 years

  • Theresa Niedermier, assistant treasurer - 33 years

  • Tammy Rogers, transportation supervisor - 24 years

  • Janeen Melroy, bus driver - 19 years

  • Mr. Marinis, sixth grade teacher - 36 years

  • Lisa Rombach, first grade teacher - 34 years

  • Jackye Ruffing, paraprofessional, student/teacher aide - 35 years

Many reflected on the changes they’ve seen in their time with Seneca East, most notably the move from three buildings to one. Rogers also remembers when all of the buses were manual and diesel. Today, they are all automatic, and several propane and gas buses were recently added to the fleet.

The majority of our retirees also said they are looking forward to traveling and spending more time with family and friends in their next phase of life.

If you or your child were positively impacted by one of these staff members, let them know by sharing a favorite memory or simply saying thank you. The dedication they have shown to our Tiger community throughout the last several decades is immeasurable, and we are beyond grateful for the contributions they have made to the students and families of Seneca East. Congratulations, retirees!
