Are you a student looking for ways to get involved in the local community? Look no further than our Kindness Club. The middle school and high school Kindness Club meets monthly to discuss and decide on activities they can lead to spread kindness within our schools and community.
Last month, after hearing of a recent fire at The Blossom Healthcare Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Willard, Ohio, Kindness Club members reached out to see how they could help. Workers at the facility said they were in need of art supplies, and so the club was off and running with their next project.
They collected and donated art supplies to replenish what the nursing home had lost. But their efforts didn’t stop there. They brought students together from across the district to create handmade cards that they delivered to residents.
We are so proud of our students for how they are developing into responsible citizens who are making a difference!
