As we begin to prepare for the new school year and the uncertain times of COVID 19, we ask that you begin asking your children every morning if they are feeling flu-like symptoms including cough, shortness of breath, chest pressure, extreme tiredness, earache, headache that does not go away, diarrhea, vomiting, muscle aches, chills or loss of taste or smell. We also ask you to take their temperature every day (with any temperature above 100, your child must be kept at home and fever free without fever reducing medications for 24 hours and they must be free of ALL COVID 19 symptoms for 24 hours). Also have your child wear a mask at home for a portion of the day so they can get used to wearing one during the school day.
As we return to school, all students will be closely monitored for COVID 19 symptoms during the school day. We will be frequently reminding all students to properly wash hands, use hand sanitizer, cover coughs and sneezes, discourage the touching of eyes and nose and practice social distancing. Please encourage these measures at home also. If everyone takes part in this short assessment everyday and KEEPS STUDENTS HOME IF THEY HAVE ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS, we can help stop the spread of COVID 19.
